Vancouver Falls For Downsizing At The Fall Home Show
The Vancouver Fall Home Show may seem like an odd place to learn about downsizing. One wouldn’t think a show devoted to home improvement would attract anyone interested in rightsizing their life.
Yet, handing out nearly 20,000 brochures to the show’s 30,000 attendees, the most common question we heard was ,“Where were you when we considered downsizing?!”
Meeting so many people, my friend and downsizing expert Linda Chu, and I were thrilled with the interest and response in our downsizing services.
Downsize For The Autumn Years
Nearly a quarter BC’s population consists of boomers, looking toward their autumn years. As the leaves fall, and the rakes come out, they’re reminded every year of the enormous maintenance and physical effort houses require.
The Fall Home Show was a perfect opportunity to educate people that downsizing can be one of the best home improvements a person can make.
Eliminating clutter and reducing the size of a house allows owners to not feel burdened by lengthy to-do lists, freeing up time and money, and improving their lives.
So many people I meet wince at the mention of their attics and garages, or children’s old bedrooms filled with ‘stuff’ that they don’t know what to do with. They want to declutter, but feel overwhelmed at the sheer amount of things and don’t know where to start.
That’s why I created my unique Vancouver downsizing service, so clients can have a convenient one-stop rightsizing shop, reducing stress, costs and time.
If you’re considering a low-stress downsizing, I am happy to be called at 604-910-7777 and discuss how I can help facilitate a smooth transition from your home to a new, rightsized one. Or view my 'Road Map to Downsizing' on michaeltudorie.com.
