Much like a strata, there are many rules to ensure residents have a quiet, comfortable, communal environment to live in. 

 

If you’re approved and after the paperwork, you are transferred shares and become a participating shareholder in the co-op community, contributing to its well-being.

When you’re preparing your Vancouver home for sale, it’s common to need to fix up a few things around the property before it goes on the market. After all, you want your home to look its best to buyers, so that you get good offers, quickly.

 

What things should you fix before listing your property for sale? Here are three categories that will help you create and prioritize your list of repairs as you get ready to sell.

 

1. Anything that squeaks or creaks

Is there something in your home that makes a noise it shouldn’t be making, such as a rattling closet door or a creaking floor board? This is not just a simple deal you can conclude in a matter of minutes, but rather an important task you must pay due attention to. This is especially the case when selling your home occurs at the same time of moving into a new one. You will need extra money to equip the new place and turn it into the dwelling you desire.

 

That is why finding ways to boost the value of your home is so important. Long gone are the times when you could just put up an house for sale, hire a cleaning service and expect a buyer to fall in love with the place. When you decide to renovate your home so that you can live there even after your retirement, you should think how to make it comfortable and accessible. Aging in place is important because elderly people are not normally able to adapt to changes and they need serenity and good care to feel at home. Many of the features that you will need to change while renovating should be suitable for all ages. The term used more often to describe this is called universal design.

Another good solution would be to install upper cabinets with glass doors – thus it will be easier to remember and actually see what you have in them. However, this may not last forever as the Vancouver real estate market is expected to cool down next year. The decline of prices will inevitably affect the aspiring home sellers. If you are planning to list your property, you may need to hurry up and take advantage of the favourable housing conditions.

On one hand, your senior loved ones might be unable to keep up with the work required to keep the place organised. Another problem is that often times there is just too much junk that they hold on to for sentimental reasons. You need to take some steps into giving them useful tips on downsizing, as that will enable easier cleaning service and overall provide their home with much needed free space. It is a delicate topic, which must be approached carefully. Here are few ideas on how to deal with the problem and solutions that have been approved by many Vancouver real estate experts:

 

-        Assess your loved ones’ needs - time has passed since your relatives really used all of the items that are currently present in their home. Are there tools and equipment that is no longerusable? Could it be that your senior loved ones still have some equipment that they are no longer able to use? They are afraid that if they lose the item, they will lose the memories. Assure them that is not the case, and tell them that memories can be preserved through photos for example, which take up less space than actual items. Next, all you will have to do is help them perform declutter and cleaning service.
